12 days at the Hospital

By Anne-Julie

Eng/ It’s been a long time since my latest blog post. LOTS of things happened lately and I wanted to share a bit with you. So, a few weeks ago I had to run to the hospital in emergency. I got serious troubles with my stomach, gall bladder and pancreas. I first be told that I got gall stones, but then they quickly realized some of them escaped and went in my common bile duct, right about to enter in the pancreas.. I suffered a LOT. I got a first surgery  to remove my gall bladder. But things turned not so good and I suffered a lot the days following the first surgery. After many days waiting to understand what’s going on, they found out that I had a bile leak, which caused me severe pain and a poisoning. I finally got a second surgery where they placed a prosthesis inside my bile duct to avoid to bile leak. As of today, I’m still on recovery phase but things tend to get better. I will have a third surgery at the end of this month, let’s hope everything will be ok.

It was very difficult moments of personal life. I haven’t been able to see my little Mila for 12 days. It was probably the hardest thing for me! A true heartbreak.

THANK YOU to all the people who sent little messages, caring words and prayers. It helped a lot ♥

I am finally *slowly* back to work since last week, and I decided to make a big sale in the shop to celebrate that! Starting from July 12 and through the end of the month, I’m offering 50% off on canvas prints (not applicable on custom orders), 30% off on ALL prints (Deluxe and Matte papers) and 20% off on postcards and pocket mirrors.

Anne-Julie, this sounds very dramatic – I’m glad everything went well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for your third surgery; hope you’ll be perfectly okay after that. Best of luck, and please let us know how it went as soon as you’re up to it!

Oh Anne-Julie I wondered where you had been. I am so sorry for your troubles and you are in my prayers. I just had my gall bladder out but was very lucky that I had no gall stones. I will be thinking of you saying prayers that all goes well at the end of the month. In fact I know it will. Hang in there and soon all will be well. Stay positive. In my thoughts and prayers. Hugs Paulette

That must have been awful being away from your darling child on top of the agony of what you were going through. I am so sorry to hear that you went through that. Very happy that you were able to get good medical care and that you are (I am assuming) well now.

Hoping that the rest of your year is far less eventful and more restful. :)
