Being with family and friends are important to me because they have been there for me like I have been there for them. It would be great if we could all spend Christmas together and see each other again since we are at different colleges and rarely see each other. When I was younger, I always wanted a huge Christmas tree, but each year, I get no tree or a small tree. I would love to be able to decorate it and make it colorful, nice, and warm.

Mon plus beau cadeau de Noël.. voir ma petite soeur enfin guérir de ce p.. de cancer. Depuis le 13 aout 2008 on lui a découvert un cancer du poumon avec des métastases au foie et au deux yeux.. petit à petit elle devient aveugle et elle a peur de se réveiller et ne plus voir le visage de son fils.. Je suis loin d’elle et je ne peux qu’essayer de soulager ses peines morales.. Mon plus beau cadeau c’est de la voir guérir, de la voir soulagée, de pouvoir être plus près d’elle physiquement quand elle en a besoin.. Mais c’est beaucoup demandé, et je me contente d’aller la voir souvent et d’être présente, tous les jours un peu, pour que chaque jour quand elle entend ma voix que ce soit un peu Noël.

The gift I want most of all, outside of everyone on earth coming to know and love Jesus Christ as their Lord, is for my extended family to all truly love one another. I am so weary of getting together and having the tension and drama and tears that have come with just about every family event we’ve had for the past 9 or so years. I know it seems like an impossible dream, but a Christmas miracle could happen, right?

Well, I know this will seem like a sympathy vote, but after a few seconds of thinking about it, I realized the most beautiful gift I could get was another ten years with my father, who passed away two years ago at 65 (just barely!). Or another five years. (I don’t think I would want or could handle anything less than that, as it was painful enough to go through two years of saying goodbye to him when he was diagnosed with cancer).

I just recently discovered your art through a Black Maria exhibit in a Hollywood art show, and I’m so glad.

The Christmas gift that I would like to receive this year would be the chance to see my father. He moved across the country almost 3 years ago and we have not been able to see each other because neither of us can afford to fly. I have an 11 month old son who has never met his grandfather and I would love if he could spend Christmas with us this year.

Le plus beau cadeau de Noël pour Moi cette année ce sera les yeux remplis d’étoiles de mon p’tit bonhomme de 2 ans qui va découvrir pour la première fois cette fête et toutes les joies qui vont avec, notamment le sapin tout illuminé avec plein de cadeaux à ses pieds.

Mon plus beau cadeau de Noël cette année serait la neige. Je rêve d’un Noël blanc comme je l’ai connu il y a de cela bien 10 ans maintenant. Je vis sur la Côte d’Azur toute l’année et lorsque je rentre chez moi pour Noël, dans le Sud-Ouest, je fais chaque fois secrètement le vœu qu’il y ait un peu de neige pour Noël, juste quelques flocons…pour une ambiance des plus magique.

As a mom of a 2 year old I think at this time in my life the most wonderful present would be something she had her hand on, a drawing or a card or a goofy photograph….. December is my most favorite month of the year, filled with Christmas decorations and cozy fires and the most filling thing is just cuddling in fron of the fire with my family playing a board game and spending time together.

I would have to say that the best Christmas gift I could receive (aside from world peace, the cure for all diseases and the end of world hunger) would be to see everyone I love in one place – at the same time – enjoying each others company. My other friend lost her daughter to complications from anorexia. She was 21. Their family is hurting big time. I would just like them to find peace, not get over it or move on, but finding peace. Or as I imagine you may put it, keys to get out of melancholia so they can find peace.

Yhe greatest gift I could receive for Christmas would be tickets to go to Scotland. We have been lucky enough to go and celebrate Christmas with my sister and family the last few years, but this year we can’t afford it. Mine is a wish that won’t come true in it’s original form…I would love to see my dear grandma…she passed 2 1/2 years ago and we were very close…

However, Christmas is such a good time of remembering her and the traditions that she created…and I”m not sure she even realized!! Every Christmas, my grandma made sweet bread…when we were younger, she would have us to her home and there would be sweet bread. When she was older, she would come to us…but always with sweet bread in hand!! Well, I’ve now adopted that…last year, I made our neighbors sweet bread in the small bread pans the craft store sells. I had so much joy in my heart reading her recipes in her handwriting…and being able to share with others…

So, she may not be here…but I’m going to be enjoying finding her throughout the celebration…and my hope is that she will be looking down and smiling on our celebrations<3

My wish is that my 82 yr. old mother could regain the memories and abilities that Alzheimer’s Disease has stolen. She is still the love of my 82 yr. old father’s life.

We will have to wait an unknown amount of time for his immigration papers to be approved before he can join me. My most beautiful gift would be to be a kid again and to have all those simple but beautiful emotions I used to have everytime christmas came. I got incredibly exited when the first christmas winds came (where I live there isn’t snow or cold in december but there is a lot of wind) and always got so teary eyed when I lighted the christmas tree for the first time, and I loved christmas eve when I got to see all my family and play with my cousins, I loved going to the malls and see all the christmas decorations and danced to the christmas music, my mom getting out of work early. The best christmas gift i can think of its to have a job (again)

J’ai déjà eu mon cadeau de Noël en avance cette année, mon papa guérit d’un cancer.
Le reste n’est que du superflu: que j’ai pleins de commandes, que mes enfants soit heureux et que mon amour perdurent encore des années (déjà 18 ans)… rien de matériel quoi!!

Ha si un petit truc, vraiment qui me tient à cœur, c’est que l’huile de palme devienne interdite (déforestation, disparition des espèces,…!!

A beautiful Christmas gift would be for every person to act compassionately and in a mindful manner.

In our hard economic times here in the US and all over it is difficult to see past our own problems and think of others.

For example my husband injured his back and the insecurity of worrying about his job and finances is draining. My twin daughters are currently sick with the flu and I work from home and am try to take care of everyone. But I know that others are struggling as well so I try not to wallow in it in pity and be mindful of others.

So the beautiful gift I’d love to reveive is to mindful compasionate people in my life.

Je suis privé de l’amour chiot. Si quelqu’un donne un pour moi, je vais avoir toutes les raisons de le garder. Ce serait le meilleur cadeau. Pour être en mesure de partager mes Noël avec un chiot et donner tout mon amour pour elle.

Pour Noël j’aimerais recevoir le don ubiquité afin d’être à Madrid chez ma tante adorée que je n’ai pas vue depuis 5 ans, en Normandie où ma grand-mère va passer son premier Noël dans une maison de retraite, quelque part en France où se trouve son frère avec lequel je n’ai jamais fêté de Noël entre adultes, à Orléans dans ma belle-famille pour que mes filles profitent d’une vraie famille, à Nantes chez mon père pour assister à ses tours de magie et voir briller les yeux de mes filles, à Lanvaudan chez mon oncle où je me sens si bien, à Paris chez ma maman pour lui faire ce plaisir, chez toutes mes copines pour discuter pendant des heures et enfin chez moi, pour que pour la première fois nous ne soyons pas entre 2 sacs de voyage pour aller fêter Noël chez les autres.

Mon plus beau cadeau de Noël ce serait de vivre sereinement et pas tristement le dernier Noël que je vais passer dans la maison de ma maman. La maison ou j’ai grandi depuis toute petite et qui est désormais en vente… je suis très attachée aux lieux et je sais que cette période de Noël va être dure pour moi, bientôt c’est toute une page de ma vie qui se tournera. J’aimerai pouvoir passer les fêtes de Noël avec une sorte de paix intérieure et savoir que de beaux Noël suivront, quelque soit l’endroit…

My greatest gift has and will always be to spend the holidays and any possible day with my loved ones, and this year is no difference. Love is unconditional and that not only at Christmas.

But there is something I would love. For me. But it would also be for the ones I love – because if I would be happy, so would they be.
I’d love to find a job, where no political games are played, where all pull and push into the same direction. Where there is a common goal. And where good work is appreciated and acknowledged.
Because all this I don’t have.
And if it would pay less I wouldn’t even mind.

Et bien, j’ai lu dans les réponses des choses qui m’ont émues, je me rappelle aussi le cancer d’un de mes parents et je pense à celui du petit garçon d’une amie chère…(en dehors du besoin très personnel pour moi de trouver un travail,c’est la vie:/) ça serait que toutes ces personnes proches ou moins proches trouvent du réconfort lors de ce noël près de ceux qui les aiment… parce qu’aussi je serai pas près des miens malheureusement, (j’aurai aimé) je pense aussi que le plus beau cadeau c’est de se sentir en sécurité, aimé et pendant quelques jours, d’avoir un havre de paix. voilà. OOOOh, Anne-Julie! What a Giveaway! And the question is also very touching…for anyone I think. In my case, so many wishes. But one enormous wish is having a little baby…soon, one day, in my lifetime…it would be very special. But together with that feeling having the family of my husband closer to us. They live all in Peru and in this dark period it’s sometimes very hard to live separated by such a huge distance. I have my family here…but one sweet dream to put these two wishes together is may’be this one : Giving my babygirl or boy in the hands of my mother-in-law in Peru…I have so much respect for this women, she is soo strong while an unknown disease is taking her body and mind. That’s my final wish : That she may become healthy enough again to come and visit both of us and to be very close. We miss her just soo much.

Taking wedding pictures with my husband in the snow like a prince and a princess in love in an enchanted white wonderland would be the most beautiful Christmas gift for me, because I got married 2 years ago but my husband and I have yet to take any official wedding pictures or have a wedding party. It’s my dream to look like a princess and take beautiful wedding pictures in the snow in front of a castle in the woods and along the shore with my love.

Depuis 5 ans que je me suis installée à Toulouse, je vais me rendre à La Réunion, chez mes parents comme chaque année à noël. Sauf qu’à chaque séjour, ça ne se passe pas très bien, j’ai l’impression qu’ils n’apprécient pas tant que ça mes visites, et mon envie de passer l’exclusivité de mon temps avec eux pendant cette période.
Alors le cadeau qui me ferait plaisir à noël cette année, ce serait que mes parents réconnaissent mon envie d’être avec eux plus que tout, et qu’ils me disent enfin qu’ils sont heureux de m’avoir auprès d’eux régulièrement chaque année,malgré les kilomètres qui nous séparent au quotidien.
Un peu d’amour exprimé, tout simplement.

For me the most beautiful Christmas gift would be an own room. I feel lucky that I have everything else, but… I can completely understand Virginia Woolf when she wanted an own room. I share it with my younger brother, who is 12, and I’m 15, and it’s so hard that i can’t be alone when I’d need to.
(Otherwise I think i’ll get paints and textiles for sewing like I do every Christmas )

the best Christmas gift I could have is to spend another holiday with my grandmother and my father again… but I cannot..since they both passed away this year. Alors le plus beau cadeau pour noël… Je suis désolée mais je vais être très pragmatique. Ok j’adore les câlins, les bisous, la famille etc… mais ce qui serait top, c’est un camion. Si, si, un camion, ou plutôt une camionette. D’une part pour pouvoir bouger facilement sur les marchés d’art, salons… avec du matos. ( sans véhicule c’est quand même galère) et d’autre part pour l’aménager et pouvoir dodoter dedans et ainsi parcourir librement le monde avec mon amoureux
